ASTM International presented its top annual award – the Award of Merit – to Martin Harper for his contributions to ASTM’s air quality committee (D22).

ASTM International presented its top annual award – the Award of Merit – to Kathleen Baxter for her contributions to ASTM’s committee on pesticides, antimicrobials, and alternative control agents (E35).

Gerhard Leichtfried, professor of materials science at Austria’s University of Innsbruck since 2015, received the 2021 H.R. “Russ” Ogden Award from ASTM International. This annual award, presented by ASTM’s reactive and refractory metals and alloys committee (B10), honors outstanding accomplishments in the science and technology of reactive and refractory metals and alloys.

ASTM International’s consumer products committee (F15), presented the Consumer Award to Rachel Weintraub, legislative director and general counsel with the Consumer Federation of America (Washington, D.C., USA).

ASTM International presented its top annual award – the Award of Merit – to Larry Watzke for his contributions to ASTM’s committee on steel, stainless steel, and related alloys (A01). 

ASTM International presented its top annual award – the Award of Merit – to Matthew Innocenzi for his contributions to ASTM’s committee on gypsum and related building materials and systems (C11). 

ASTM International’s environmental assessment, risk management and corrective action committee (E50), presented the Gwen Eklund Award of Excellence to Paul Sonnenfeld. 

Audrey Boutin has received the 2022 Gary M. Kralik Distinguished Service Award for her significant contributions to ASTM International’s committee on nonferrous metals and alloys (B02).

Committee B02 offers this prestigious award in recognition for distinguished service and leadership in its activities. Boutin was recognized for her 10 years of outstanding work as chair of subcommittee B02.05 on precious metals and electrical contact materials.

ASTM International presented its top annual award – the Award of Merit – to Ata Ciechanowski for his contributions to ASTM International’s plastic piping systems committee (F17).

ASTM International presented its top annual award – the Award of Merit – to Hugh Martin for his contributions to ASTM’s air quality committee (D22). 



The prestigious award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for distinguished service and outstanding participation in ASTM International committee activities.
