Key ASTM International Committee Presents Rachel Weintraub with Consumer Award

ASTM International’s consumer products committee (F15), presented the Consumer Award to Rachel Weintraub, legislative director and general counsel with the Consumer Federation of America (Washington, D.C., USA).

An ASTM International member since 2002, Weintraub was recognized for her deep commitment and unwavering advocacy of the consumer voice in the development of standards to promote consumer product safety. She currently serves a member of the F15 executive committee.

Weintraub has served in her current position with Consumer Federation of America since 2002 with a product safety and consumer protection career concentration. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and philosophy politics and law from Binghamton University and a juris doctor degree from the Boston University School of Law.

In addition to ASTM International, Weintraub is a member of the Maryland Bar Association and former board member of ICPHSO and ANSI.
