ASTM International Committee on Publications Honors Four Members with Charles B. Dudley Award

ASTM International’s committee on publications presented the Charles B. Dudley Award to four members of the medical and surgical materials and devices committee (F04).

Roger Brockenbrough Honored with Top Award For Work on Key ASTM International Committee

ASTM International presented its top annual award – the Award of Merit – to Roger Lewis Brockenbrough for his contributions to the metallic-coated iron and steel products committee (A05). The prestigious award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for distinguished service and outstanding participation in ASTM International committee activities.

Key ASTM International Committee Honors Dennis Rounds with Award of Excellence

ASTM International’s environmental assessment, risk management and corrective action committee (E50) presented the Gwen Eklund Award of Excellence to Dennis Rounds.

Rounds was honored for his exemplary service, passion, professionalism, and utmost integrity in continuous leadership and significant technical contributions to the committee and its members.

Key ASTM International Committee Honors Keith M. Hottle with Service Award

ASTM International’s nonferrous metals and alloys committee (B02) presented the Gary M. Kralik Distinguished Service Award to Keith M. Hottle, director of quality and metallurgy for Sandvik Materials Technology.

Hottle was honored for his dedicated and significant service as a leader and key contributing member of the committee.

Eugene Golebiowski Honored with Top Award For Work on Key ASTM International Committee

ASTM International presented its top annual award – the Award of Merit – to Eugene Golebiowski for his contributions to the copper and copper alloys committee (B05). The prestigious award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for distinguished service and outstanding participation in ASTM International committee activities.

Golebiowski was honored for his outstanding service and long-term leadership in refined copper technology and implementation in product standards.

ASTM International Composite Materials Committee Honors Charles E. Bakis with Stinchcomb Award

ASTM International’s composite materials committee (D30) presented the Wayne W. Stinchcomb Memorial Lecture and Award to Charles E. Bakis, distinguished professor of engineering, science, and mechanics at Pennsylvania State University.

ASTM International Board Member Alan P. Kaufman Honored with Robert J. Painter Memorial Award

Alan P. Kaufman, ASTM board member and senior vice president of technical affairs for the Toy Association, in New York, New York, USA, has been honored with the Robert J. Painter Memorial Award from ASTM International and the Society for Standards Professionals.

Kaufman was honored for his outstanding service and dedication in developing and promoting the use of voluntary consensus standards aimed at protecting children and consumers of all ages.

Ned Waltz Honored with Top Annual Award from ASTM International Wood Committee

ASTM International’s wood committee (D07) presented its top annual award – the Award of Merit – to Ned Waltz, senior engineer of product evaluation and performance at Weyerhaeuser. The prestigious award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for individual contributions to developing standards. 
 

Michael J. Crewdson Honored with Top Annual Award from Key ASTM International Committee

ASTM International’s weathering and durability committee (G03) presented its top annual award – the Award of Merit – to Michael Crewdson, managing director for Q-Lab’s worldwide testing services. The prestigious award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for individual contributions to developing standards.
 

ASTM International Honors Richard Shultz with Dieter Hestermann Award

ASTM International’s asset management committee (E53) has honored Richard Shultz, enterprise asset and transportation manager at Johns Hopkins University’s Applied Physical Laboratory, with the Dieter Hestermann Award.

Shultz was recognized for providing outstanding leadership; and exemplary technical, practical, and administrative contributions to the committee over a continuous period.
