ASTM International’s steel, stainless steel, and related alloys committee (A01) presented its 2023 Founding Committee Award to Keith Hottle, consultant for Alleima at ASA Metallurgical Consulting, LLC.

The award is given in recognition of the highest level of leadership and exemplary contributions to ASTM's founding committee in the development and promotion of voluntary consensus standards.

An ASTM International member since 1999, Hottle had been previously honored by the committee with the Gary M. Kralik Distinguished Service Award (2020), the Award of Merit (2018), the Award of Excellence (2017), and the Award of Appreciation (2017, 2014, 2011).

Hottle serves as a consultant for Alleima, which exclusively sponsors his participation and membership at ASTM, and has held this position since December 2020. He received his bachelor of science in metallurgy and materials engineering from Lehigh University in 1981.
