ASTM International Honors Jay Keating with Top Annual Award

ASTM International presented its top annual award – the Award of Merit – to Jay Keating for his contributions to ASTM’s roofing and waterproofing committee (D08).

The prestigious award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for distinguished service and outstanding participation in ASTM International committee activities. Keating was recognized for his foundational work as committee chair, willingness to share his industry expertise, and longstanding diligence in maintaining important standards.

An ASTM International member since 1997, Keating had been previously honored by the committee with two Awards of Appreciation (2011, 2013).

Keating currently works as a process quality engineer at IKO Industries, a position he has held since 2011. Previously, he worked for Owens Corning for several decades after receiving his bachelor of science in chemical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He also holds a master of business administration from St. Xavier University.
