ASTM International Honors Frank Ehrenfeld with Top Annual Award

ASTM International presented its top annual award – the Award of Merit – to Frank Ehrenfeld for his contributions to ASTM’s air quality committee (D22).

The prestigious award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for distinguished service and outstanding participation in ASTM International committee activities. Ehrenfeld was recognized for his distinguished skill as a speaker, influencer, and organizer, on top of his scientific rigor and impressive productivity in creating standards related to asbestos.

An ASTM International member since 1997, he had been previously honored by the committee with the George W. Luciw Award of Excellence (2019).

Ehrenfeld works as laboratory director at international Asbestos Testing Laboratories, a position he has held since 1992. Ehrenfeld is involved in all aspects of the technical operations of iATL. He is also half owner of iATL’s parent company, Vice-President of iATL, and Laboratory Director of their wholly-owned subsidiaries: nanoTEM and CPLabs.
