Steven M. Dale Becomes ASTM International Temperature Measurement Committee Chairman

Steven M. Dale, P.E., a senior project engineer with Conax Buffalo Technologies in Buffalo, N.Y., has become the new chairman of ASTM International Committee E20 on Temperature Measurement, a group of 120 members who are responsible for 43 standards.

 Dale lives in Williamsville, N.Y.

An ASTM International member since 1982, Dale has received E20's Robert D. Thompson Award and is an ASTM Fellow and Award of Merit recipient. Prior to assuming the E20 Chairmanship, Dale had been E20's membership secretary and chair of both the E20.03 Subcommittee on RTDs and the E20.04 Subcommittee on Thermocouples.

Before assuming his current position with Conax, Dale was chief engineer of the Industrial Product Division and a project engineer in the Nuclear Products Division. In his career he has concentrated on expanding his technical knowledge base in order to develop creative, innovative, and high value engineered solutions for a wide variety of industrial temperature measurement challenges.

A graduate of Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y., with a B.S. in engineering and management, Dale received his master's degree in industrial engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
