Registration is now open for ASTM International’s Workshop on Next Generation Cements and SCMs: Towards Specification, to be held June 9, 2024, in Philadelphia, PA. The event is sponsored by ASTM International’s concrete and concrete aggregates committee (C09) and will be held in conjunction with the committee’s standards development meetings.

Many new cement and SCM (supplementary cementitious material) products are available in the market, coming from start-ups. These products, however, do not fall under any existing specifications. This event will bring together cement producers, customers, agencies, and researchers to figure out how to move these new products toward specifications.

Topics for this workshop include cement, supplementary cementitious materials, reactivity, specifications, standards, testing, data, scaling, performance, durability, etc.
