Petroleum Researcher Kishore Nadkarni Receives ASTM International’s Dudley Medal

R.A. Kishore Nadkarni, Ph.D., of Millennium Analytics, Inc., has received the 2017 Charles B. Dudley Medal Award from ASTM International, one of the world’s leading standards organizations. 

Nadkarni was honored for his contributions to a number of important and influential publications on various aspects of petroleum fuel and lubricant analyses, including topics such as biofuels, and fossil fuel products.  

In addition to the authorship of his publications, Nadkarni is also considered a vital contributor to the standards development process of ASTM International committee on petroleum products, liquid fuels, and lubricants (D02).  

Nadkarni has been an ASTM International member for more than 33 years and has received many awards from ASTM including the D02 Award of Merit in 2005, the D02 Scroll of Achievement in 2009, and more. In addition to serving positions on many D02 subcommittees, Nadkarni also served as chairman of the committee on publications, an organization-wide role.      

In addition to ASTM International, Nadkarni is a member of the American Chemical Society, and the American Society for Quality. He holds a bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Bombay, in India. Nadkarni has previously served as a research associate at the University of Kentucky, manager of the Materials Science Center Analytical Facility at Cornell University, and analytical leader in the ExxonMobil Company.
