Papers Invited for Workshop on Electric Vehicle Cooling Systems and Coolant

Papers are invited for ASTM International’s Workshop on Battery Electric and Fuel Cell Vehicle Cooling Systems and Coolant, to be held Oct. 9, 2024, in Orlando, FL. The event is sponsored by ASTM International’s engine coolants and related fluids committee (D15) and will be held in conjunction with the committee’s standards development meetings.

Presentations will focus on such topics as cooling systems, test methodologies, and components and coolants used in battery and fuel cell applications.

Others may include:

  • Cooling system overview: components, metals, materials, operating conditions, and resulting coolant requirements,
  • Coolant challenges,
  • Test methodologies: physical & chemical properties, performance test comparisons, subsystem and dyno test methods,
  • Global specification review,
  • Explanation of fluid types, and,
  • Field experience: methods, results, successes, and pitfalls.

Vehicle manufacturers, cooling component suppliers, coolant producers, laboratories, and users will benefit from the workshop.

Those interested in presenting at this workshop should submit a 250 to 300-word abstract pertaining to the above topics to Workshop Chairs no later than June 15, 2024.
