Papers Invited for 18th International Symposium on Reactor Dosimetry

Papers are invited for ASTM International’s and European Working Group on Reactor Dosimetry (EWGRD)’s 18th International Symposium on Reactor Dosimetry (ISRD), to be held May 18-23, 2025, in Charleston, SC. The event is co-sponsored by ASTM International’s nuclear technology and applications committee (E10) and the European Working Group on Reactor Dosimetry (EWGRD).

This symposium, held roughly every three years, provides a forum for the interchange of state-of-the-art techniques, databases, and standardization of radiation metrology. The symposium will be of value to professionals involved in reactor dosimetry including researchers, manufacturers, and representatives from industry, utilities, and regulatory agencies.

The theme of ISRD is dosimetry for the assessment of irradiated reactor materials and reactor experiments, featuring radiation metrology techniques, nuclear databases, and standardization. The topic areas for ISRD18 include the following:

  • Experimental techniques, measurements and monitoring;
  • Calculational and transport methods;
  • Reactor surveillance, plant life management and decommissioning;
  • Nuclear data, uncertainties and adjustments;
  • Benchmarks and inter-comparisons;
  • And dosimetry in test and research reactors, including accelerators and fusion facilities.

The event is organized into a single track of oral and poster presentations, along with informal roundtables and workshops. This format provides for in-depth discussion during and after the sessions and promotes a strong community of attendees.

Prospective authors are invited to submit an approximately 250-word abstract by Oct. 1, 2024 via the Abstract Submission Portal
