Oliver S. Delery Jr. of Forterra Building Products Joins ASTM International Board of Directors

Oliver S. Delery Jr., P.E, vice president of technical marketing North America for Forterra Building Products in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, will serve a three-year term on the ASTM International board of directors.

Forterra is an international building products company and one of the largest manufacturers of concrete products in North America. Delery has been with Forterra since 2002, having previously held positions as President of New Orleans Cement Products and Gulf Coast vice president at Choctaw Inc., among others.

Delery holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Tulane University and is a licensed civil engineer in the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas.

A member of ASTM since 1982, Delery is the past chairman of ASTM International Committee on Concrete Pipe (C13). The committee has previously awarded Delery with the Robert R. Litehiser Award in 2000, and the Award of Merit (and accompanying title of fellow) in 2013 for his leadership and contributions to concrete pipe standards development.

Outside ASTM International, Delery is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Louisiana Engineering Society, American Public Works Association, American Concrete Pipe Association, and the National Society of Professional Engineers.
