ASTM International Hot Mix Asphalt Publication, STP 1469, Is Now Available

A new publication from ASTM International includes the latest international and state agency research on using performance tests for hot mix asphalt mixture design and field control. STP 1469, Performance Tests for Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Including Fundamental and Empirical Procedures, is now available for purchase.

Edited by Louay N. Mohammad, Louisiana State University and Louisiana Transportation Research Center, STP 1469 contains 13 peer-reviewed papers organized in the following groups.
• Mixture Simulative Performance Tests—relates to the practical use of some simulative loaded-wheel testers used in identifying rut-prone HMA mixtures.
• Mechanistic Tests for Quality Control—includes papers on mechanistic tests that were used in field Quality Control of HMA mixtures.
