ASTM International presented its top annual award – the 2023 Award of Merit – to Corey Haeder for his contributions to ASTM’s concrete pipe committee (C13). 



The prestigious award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for distinguished service and outstanding participation in ASTM International committee activities. Haeder was recognized for his respected technical knowledge, diligence in navigating disputes, and foundational contributions to many concrete pipe standards.

An ASTM International member since 2003, Haeder has been previously honored by the committee with the Merlin F. ‘IB’ Spangler Award (2011).

Haeder has over 25 years of experience in the precast concrete pipe industry, and currently works as director of engineering at Rinker Materials, a position he has held since 2015. He is a graduate of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, where he earned both a bachelor's degree and a master’s degree in civil engineering.
