ASTM Committee F03 on Gaskets announces the appointment of its new chair, Nancy Burkhart, the quality assurance and laboratory manager for Thermoseal Inc. in Sidney, Ohio. A committee of 80 members who work within eight technical subcommittees, F03 has jurisdiction over 30 standards. In addition to leading the main committee, Burkhart is chair of F03.50 on Analytical Test Methods.

Burkhart lives in St. Mary's, Ohio.

Professionally, Burkhart has focused on quality and testing in rubber and gasket manufacturing. Before joining the Thermoseal staff, she held positions at Koneta Rubber Co. and DTR Industries.

Outside ASTM International, Burkhart is a member of the American Society for Quality and the Society of Automotive Engineers. She graduated from Bluffton College with a B.A. in organizational management.
