Lyle V. Hestermann Named New Chair of ASTM International Committee on Property Management Systems

Lyle V. Hestermann, manager, Property, for Raytheon Network Centric Systems in Ft. Wayne, Ind., has been named the new chairman of ASTM International Committee E53 on Property Management Systems. The committee consists of about 70 members who are responsible for 12 standards published in the Annual Book of ASTM Standards. Committee E53 develops management systems criteria, including performance standards, practices, metrics, and methods for managing durable and movable assets (personal property management).

Hestermann also lives in Ft. Wayne, Ind.

A Certified Professional Property Manager (CPPM) and a recognized Consulting Fellow by the National Property Management Association (NPMA), Hestermann has focused on personal property and equipment management in his career.

In addition to ASTM International, Hestermann is a member of the NPMA, the National Contract Management Association, the Air Force Association, and the Air Force Security Police Association. He retired from military service (active Army and Air National Guard) in 2004 with 32 years to his credit. During the last ten years, he served as commander of the 122 Security Forces Squadron for the Indiana Air National Guard. Hestermann graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor's in general studies.
