Key ASTM International Committee Presents Founding Committee Award to Daniel Janikowski

ASTM International’s committee on steel, stainless steel, and related alloys (A01) presented Daniel Janikowski with the committee's most prestigious award – the A01 Founding Committee Award. 

Janikowski was recognized for the highest level of leadership and exemplary contributions to A01's Founding Committee in development and promotion of voluntary consensus standards. 

An ASTM member since 1989, Janikowski has also received the Award of Appreciation (2000) and the Award of Merit (2010) from the committee. 

Janikowski, a technical manager at Plymouth Tube in Warrenville, Illinois, USA, has held his position since 2017, having previously worked in quality, sales, and production management at the same company, Allied Signal in research and development, and Trent Tube in quality, sales, and management. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in metallurgic engineering from the University of Illinois. 

In addition to ASTM, Janikowski is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Power Research Institute, and the National Association of Corrosion Engineers.
