Key ASTM International Committee Honors Margie Farabaugh with Kenneth J. Boedecker Jr. Distinguished Service Award

ASTM International’s committee on metallic-coated iron and steel products (A05) honored Margie Farabaugh with the Kenneth Jr. Boedecker, Jr. Distinguished Service Award. 

Farabaugh was honored for her exemplary contributions to the success of the committee. 

An ASTM International member since 2004, Farabaugh previously received the Outstanding Service Award (2012) by the committee and the Award of Appreciation (2012) by the committee on steel, stainless steel and related alloys (A01).   

Farabaugh, a technical service engineer with Steel Dynamics Flat Roll Group, has held her position since 2001, having previously served at USX Engineers and Consultants, Inc. as a chemist, in technical sales, and as a project manager. She holds a bachelor’s of science degree in mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh. 

In addition to ASTM International, Farabaugh is also a member of SAE International.
