Edward Eaton Honored with Top Annual Award from Key ASTM International Committee

ASTM International’s committee on engine coolants and related fluids (D15) presented its top annual award – the Award of Merit – to Edward R. Eaton, Sr., managing consultant, Laboratory Holdings LLC, in Litchfield Park, Arizona, USA. The prestigious award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for individual contributions to developing standards. 

The committee honored Eaton outstanding personal commitment and leadership in the committee, resulting in the development of improved standards and test methods. He has previously been honored by the committee with the Raymond H Rudisill Award (2006) and the Daniel H. Green Award (2017).

An ASTM International member since 1992, Eaton is also a member of the committees on petroleum products, liquid fuels, and lubricants (D02), water (D19), solar, geothermal and other alternative energy sources (E44), forensic engineering (E58), sustainability (E60), human resource management (E63), and corrosion of metals (G01). 

Eaton has held his current position with Laboratory Holdings LLC since 2018, having previously served in roles with Amalgatech, The Penray Companies, Stanadyne Inc, and Intermountain Farmers Association. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Bucknell University and a master’s degree in business management from the University of Utah. 

In addition to ASTM International, Eaton is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers.
