Consultant William G. Ullrich Honored with ASTM International Gambrell Award

William G. Ullrich, principal of Link Consulting LLC in Annapolis, Md., has been honored with the 2006 Jerry W. Gambrell Award by ASTM International Committee F14 on Fences. The committee cited Ullrich "for his commitment to ASTM and the fence industry by providing leadership, innovation, and assistance in the development of fence industry standards for over 30 years."

Ullrich lives in Annapolis, Md.

An ASTM International member since 1976, Ullrich is chair of F14.10 on Specific Applications. He also serves on ASTM Committees E54 on Homeland Security Applications, F12 on Security Systems and Equipment, and F33 on Detention and Correctional Facilities.

Outside ASTM International, Ullrich participates in the work of the American Fence Association, the American Society of Industrial Security, the Chain Link Fence Manufacturers Institute, and the Construction Specifiers Institute.

Ullrich has concentrated on the marketing, sales, design and manufacture of chain link and ornamental fence and gate systems. Before forming Link Consulting, Ullrich served in various management positions at Master-Halco Inc., and as a vice president and president of Anchor Fence Inc. He graduated from the State University of New York.
