Christopher R. Reid, associate technical fellow in human factors and ergonomics for Boeing’s Environment, Health, and Safety organization (North Charleston, South Carolina, USA), will serve a three-year term on the ASTM International board of directors.
This organization in the aerospace corporation focuses on corporate strategy in health, safety, and environmental areas, including standards.
An ASTM International member since 2017, Reid is a member of the Exo Technology Center of Excellence (ET CoE) Research and Development board, additive manufacturing technologies committee (F42), and exoskeletons and exosuits committee (F48). He is also chair of the subcommittee on human factors and ergonomics and a member of several other F48 subcommittees.
Reid holds doctoral and master’s degrees in industrial engineering and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology from the University of Central Florida.
