ASTM International has launched a new eLearning course on gasoline and diesel fuel oil, covering various specifications, technology, and more.
The 10-hour course is intended for technicians performing gasoline and/or diesel fuel tests, scientists, and engineers whose responsibilities include supervising training, or testing and using gasoline and/or diesel fuel. It will also cover significant fuel specification testing procedures, which have become more prevalent with greater interest in ultra-clean fuels.
Upon successful completion of the course, users will be offered a certificate and be able to:
- Identify the different types and components of gasoline;
- Define octane number and identify ways to enhance octane;
- Identify the various types of volatility;
- Understand numerous topics such as sampling, drivability, and more.
