ASTM International Honors Richard Shultz with Dieter Hestermann Award

ASTM International’s asset management committee (E53) has honored Richard Shultz, enterprise asset and transportation manager at Johns Hopkins University’s Applied Physical Laboratory, with the Dieter Hestermann Award.

Shultz was recognized for providing outstanding leadership; and exemplary technical, practical, and administrative contributions to the committee over a continuous period. 

An ASTM International member since 2006, Shultz has previously been honored with the Award of Recognition (2008), Certificate of Appreciation (2008 and 2009), and the Outgoing Chair Award (2019), all for his service to E53.

Before joining Johns Hopkins University’s Applied Physical Laboratory in 2001, Shultz worked as a corporate property administrator for AlliedSignal Technical Service Corporation and as a property manager at Computer Sciences Corporation. He holds an associate degree in business management and accounting with a concentration in property management from Stevens-Henager College.
