William Tracy, manager of technology administration at Panasonic Appliances Company of America in Danville, Ky., has received the John N. Balough Distinguished Service Award from ASTM International Committee F11 on Vacuum Cleaners.

The committee recognized Tracy’s 19 years of service towards the development of vacuum cleaner standards, and his leadership as subcommittee chairman for F11.20 and F11.21.

Tracy has spent 30 years focused on vacuum cleaner design and development in various capacities. His current areas of responsibility include the UL certification, Model Shop, as well as engineering and product documents.
