ASTM International Committee on Reactive and Refractory Metals and Alloys Honors Syd Aldridge with H.R. “Russ” Ogden Award

Syd Aldridge, former president and CEO with of Nu-Tech Precision Metals in Arnprior, Ontario, Canada has received the H.R. “Russ” Ogden Award from ASTM International Committee on Reactive and Refractory Metals and Alloys (B10).

A member of ASTM for more than 25 years before his retirement, Aldridge was specifically recognized for his outstanding accomplishments in the science and technology of reactive and refractory metals and alloys.

Aldridge received an associate of the institute of metallurgists from Sir John Cass College in London, England (later incorporated into the University of London). Aldridge worked at Atomic Energy of Canada at Chalk River for 14 years then Chase Nuclear/Nu-Tech Precision Metals for the following 27 years. He became president and CEO of Nu-Tech Precision Metals for the last 12 years before his retirement.
