ASTM International Committee on Pesticides, Antimicrobials, and Alternative Control Agents Honors Curtis M. Elsik with Chip Collins Memorial Award

Curtis M. Elsik, global regulatory manager Functional Chemicals with Huntsman in The Woodlands, Texas, USA, has received the Chip Collins Memorial Award from ASTM International Committee on Pesticides, Antimicrobials, and Alternative Control Agents (E35).

A member of ASTM since 2000, Elsik was specifically recognized for his diligence, hard work, leadership, and perseverance in the face of a changing and challenging industry.

Elsik has been with Huntsman since 1999, having previously served as a senior research engineer with Vista Chemical, and a research engineer with American Cyanamid. Elsik holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University, and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Rice University.

In addition to ASTM International, Elsik is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the American Chemical Society, and the Council of Producers & Distributors of Agrotechnology.
