Edward Falis, vice president of Sampling Associates International, LLC of Hampton, Va., has received the R. A. Glenn Award from ASTM International Committee D05 on Coal and Coke.

The committee noted Falis’ continuous and outstanding contributions to the development of standards on the industrialization of coal, petroleum coke, and furnace coke.

Falis previously served as an inspector for Jno. McCall Coal Co., as well as a sr. o&m manager, and operations director for Sampling Associates International.

Falis specializes in the management of operations and maintenance of mechanical systems at import-export terminals and election power generation stations for bulk products of coal, petroleum coke, and furnace coke.
