ASTM International’s ships and marine technology committee (F25) has awarded its John Haas Memorial Award to Len Swantek, director of global regulatory compliance at Victaulic Company.

Swantek was recognized for his dedication, leadership, expertise, and contributions while serving as chair of F25’s piping and machinery subcommittee (F25.11) and as a member of the committee in general.

An ASTM member since 2014, Swantek is also a member of various other organizations, such as the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME), the Connecticut Maritime Association (CMA), and more.

Swantek’s career focus is global regulatory compliance, standards development, and product testing and certification, among other areas. Since graduating from Pennsylvania State University in 1987 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, he has spent over three decades with Victaulic Company (Easton, PA) in various positions.
