Please see the following statement from ASTM International President Kathie Morgan on the passing of board member Rebecca S. McDaniel. 

“Our most heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of Rebecca S. McDaniel, who passed away on Sunday. Rebecca was a valued member of our ASTM International family and had been serving on our board of directors. She was a well-respected expert on pavement materials and was chair of our road and paving materials committee. Rebecca’s voice and expertise were recognized throughout Purdue University, the U.S. Federal Highway Administration, the paving industry, and the international standards community. Her passing reminds all of us that it is people who make ASTM International the organization it is, and we are forever thankful for her life of service. She will be dearly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and all who had the privilege of working with and knowing Rebecca.”
