Participation Sought in ASTM International Task Group on Fiber-Reinforced Polymer Standards

ASTM International Committee D30 on Composite Materials invites all interested parties to participate in a new task group on fiber-reinforced polymers. The task group is under the jurisdiction of Subcommittee D30.05 on Structural Test Methods.

The purpose of the new task group is to review a series of tests that the American Concrete Institute has developed through their Committee 440 on Fiber-Reinforced Polymer Reinforcement. The ACI committee has decided to convert some of these material tests, which come under the title Guide Test Methods for Fiber-Reinforced Polymers (FRPs) for Reinforcing or Strengthening Concrete Structures, into ASTM International standards. The new task group will review the tests and promulgate them through the ASTM process.
