ASTM International and the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) are partnering to host a healthcare innovation workshop to be held Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024 at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld, Orlando, FL in conjunction with ASTM November Committee Week.

Building on an initial workshop held in January 2023, this broader stakeholder workshop aims to collect new insights on technology gaps and set standards development priorities for the biotechnology and biotechnology manufacturing industry sectors. Furthermore, it will invite collaboration among researchers, policymakers, and industry experts to confront biotechnology challenges in modeling, process control, material testing, and more.

"The goal of this effort is to help a diverse set of stakeholders prioritize and address critical standardization challenges brought about by the introduction of new innovations impacting the healthcare industry."
