ASTM International presented its top annual award – the Award of Merit – to Kendra Adams, PG, RG for her contributions to ASTM’s soil and rock committee (D18).

The prestigious award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for distinguished service and outstanding participation in ASTM International committee activities. Ms. Adams was recognized for her leadership, dedication, and valuable work in maintaining good standards development practice within the committee.

An ASTM International member since 2008, Ms. Adams had been previously honored by the committee with several Richard S. Ladd Development Awards (2014, 2017, 2021, 2022) and the A. Ivan Johnson Outstanding Achievement Award (2019).

Ms. Adams is currently the president of Blue Rock Labs, Inc., a position she has held since 2014, and she previously held positions at Geotechnology, Inc. and Fugro Consultants. She earned a bachelor’s degree in geology and geophysics and a master’s of science in geological engineering, both from the University of Missouri – Rolla, now Missouri S & T.  Ms. Adams is a licensed Registered Geologist (RG) in Missouri and a Professional Geoscientist (PG) in Texas.
