ASTM International Analytical Chemistry Committee Honors Mike DeLeon with B.F. Scribner Award

ASTM International’s analytical chemistry committee (E01) honored Mike DeLeon with the B.F. Scribner Award.  

DeLeon was recognized for leading significant efforts relating to the modernization of E01 spark atomic emission methods. He also earned recognition for leading the task group that modernized the committee’s standard on analysis of carbon and low-alloy steel (E415), and supporting the development of a test method for analysis of nickel alloys (E3047).

An ASTM International member since 2007, DeLeon has previously received awards of appreciation from both the E01 committee and ASTM’s petroleum committee (D02).

Since June 2021, DeLeon has served as a program manager, ARO Scientific Services Program. Prior to this, DeLeon was an applications and national sales manager at Spectro Analytical Instruments.
