ASTM International Honors Kenneth T. White with Top Annual Award from Key Committee

ASTM International presented its top annual award – the Award of Merit – to Kenneth T. White, principal at Consultive Services (Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA) for his contributions to the performance of buildings committee (E06). 

The prestigious award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for distinguished service and outstanding participation in ASTM International committee activities. White was honored for his exemplary performance, leadership, and personal dedication to the development of standards for the identification, reduction, and elimination of lead hazards in and around buildings.

An ASTM International member since 1988, White has previously been recognized with the Award of Appreciation (2005, 2018, 2019). He is also a member of the air quality committee (D22).

White has served in his current position since 1985, having previously held positions at QuanTech, Inc., Environmental Hazards Services, LLC, Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center, and Information Technology Solutions, Inc.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Thiel College, a master’s degree in chemistry from the University of Rhode Island, and a master’s degree in management/policy, organization behavior, and marketing from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

In addition to ASTM International, White is a member of the Beryllium Health and Safety Committee and American Society of Safety Professionals. He is also a fellow of the American Industrial Hygiene Association and past president of the Lead and Environmental Hazards Association.
