ASTM International Nondestructive Testing Committee Honors Brian White

ASTM International’s nondestructive testing committee (E07) presented the Charles W. Briggs Award to Brian White, imaging scientist with Carestream Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), Rochester, New York (USA).

An ASTM International member since 2012, White was honored for his continuous and outstanding contributions to the work of the committee through its subcommittees, sections, and task forces.

White performs digital imaging research for Carestream NDT in his current role. He previously served as technical manager and product development manager within the organization. Prior to that he was a film designer with Eastman Kodak Company.

White holds a bachelor’s degree in imaging science from the Rochester Institute of Technology as well as two U.S. patents. He also has two patents pending. He has authored 14 white papers on NDT radiographic digital image quality. In addition to ASTM International, White is a member of the American Society of Nondestructive Testing and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Working Group on Radiography.
