Key ASTM International Committee Presents Award of Excellence to David Parsonage

ASTM International’s environmental assessment, risk management and corrective action committee (E50), presented the Gwen Eklund Award of Excellence to David W. Parsonage, vice president of American Geosciences (Murrysville, PA, USA). 

An ASTM International member since 2003, Parsonage was recognized for his exemplary service, outstanding leadership, and professionalism on behalf of the committee. 

Parsonage, an ASTM International board member, has also been honored with the Award of Appreciation (2009) by committee E50, the Service Award by ASTM’s committee on standards (2016), and the Service Award (2021) by the ASTM Board of Directors. 

Parsonage has served in his current position since 1997, having previously held positions with Fluor Daniel GTI, Inc., Chester Environmental, and The Pennsylvania State University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in forest science and a master’s degree in forest resources, both from The Pennsylvania State University. During his career, he has focused on environmental assessment, investigation, cleanup, and regulatory compliance. 

In addition to ASTM International, Parsonage is a member of the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management and Lions Clubs International.
