ASTM International Receives Award to Develop Construction Sector Technology Roadmap
ASTM International has been awarded funding from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to develop a roadmap for guidance and adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies in the construction sector.
The funding, which totals nearly $300,000, would be used for the development of a roadmap that will seek to bring together the construction and manufacturing sectors and various aspects of advanced manufacturing including:

ASTM International Launches Xcellerate™ Program for Emerging Technologies
Today, global standards organization ASTM International launched ASTM Xcellerate™, an emerging technology program focused on strengthening the world’s emerging technology from research to standards.

ASTM International and CEN Extend and Expand Cooperation Program
CEN, the European Committee for Standardization, and ASTM International have agreed to extend and expand a Technical Cooperation Agreement from 2019 in order to broaden and facilitate global dialogue and coordination in specific standardization areas of mutual interest.
ASTM International and Colombia Standards Organization Sign Licensing Agreement for Cannabis Certification
On May 17, ASTM International and the Colombian Institute of Technical Standards and Certification (ICONTEC) signed a licensing agreement related to certifications for the cannabis industry.
Per the new agreement, ASTM International will allow use of its CANNQ/HEMPQ certification program for cultivators, as well as ASTM’s Certification Mark, while ICONTEC will allow use of its Certification Good Agricultural Practices in Cannabis (BPARC).
