Eugene Golebiowski Honored with Top Award For Work on Key ASTM International Committee

ASTM International presented its top annual award – the Award of Merit – to Eugene Golebiowski for his contributions to the copper and copper alloys committee (B05). The prestigious award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for distinguished service and outstanding participation in ASTM International committee activities.

Golebiowski was honored for his outstanding service and long-term leadership in refined copper technology and implementation in product standards.

An ASTM International member since 1985, Golebiowski has previously been recognized with the Award of Appreciation (2007), Arthur Cohen Memorial B05 Distinguished Service Award (2013), and the Copper Club Award (2017).

Golebiowski has served as an independent consultant on copper and copper alloy melting, processing, casting, and plant and system design since 2000. He previously held positions at Mueller Industries, Cerro Copper Company, Warrenton Refining Company, Phelps Dodge Refining Corporation, and ASARCO Inc.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and a masters of business administration from West Texas State University.
