ASTM International Toy Safety Group Seeks Help Reviewing Tricycle Standard

ASTM International’s toy safety subcommittee (F15.22) is seeking help reviewing a tricycle standard that is slated to be transferred to its jurisdiction from the American National Standards Institute. The subcommittee is part of ASTM International’s larger consumer products committee (F15).

The ANSI standard (ANSI Z315.1) covers safety requirements for tricycles used by children eight and under.

ASTM International’s subcommittee plans to review the voluntary consensus standard prior to balloting it as a new ASTM consumer product safety standard. Anyone interested in participating in this effort can join the subcommittee.

ASTM International welcomes participation in the development of its standards. Become a member at www.astm.org/JOIN.
