ASTM International a Supporting Partner of MGP Symposium, Will Host Workshop

Today, global standards organization ASTM International announced that it is a supporting partner of the 8th International Symposium & Exhibition on Redevelopment of Manufactured Gas Plant Sites (MGP 2019), June 2-4, at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA. 

MGP is the world’s oldest and largest education and networking event focused on issues related to remediating and redeveloping former manufactured gas plant facilities. It brings together site owners, utilities, remediation professionals, environmental and development attorneys, and more.  

On June 2 at 3 p.m., ASTM International’s committee on environmental assessment, risk management and corrective action (E50) will host a workshop on “Guides for Risk Based Corrective Action for Sediments.” This workshop will examine how a unified approach for addressing contaminated sediment sites can improve consistency, with technical presentations by: 

  • Tripp Fischer, vice president principal hydrogeologist, BSTI;
  • Mike Firth, associate, ELM Group Inc.;
  • Todd Cridge, principal environmental engineer, Arcadis;
  • Kristin Searcy Bell, Ph.D., senior managing consultant, Ramboll; and
  • Jim Occhialini, vice president technical specialist, Alpha Analytical, Inc.
