ASTM International Standards for Acid Rock Drainage Prediction

ASTM International, in conjunction with the Acid Drainage Technology Initiative Metal Mining Sector (ADTI-MMS), now offers the latest technology on acid rock drainage prediction in one convenient resource, ASTM Standards for Acid Rock Drainage Prediction.

The CD-ROM features 17 of the latest ASTM standard test methods for the environmentally sound management of metal mining and processing related solids and the associated waters.  These standards cover:
• Static test methods to assess acid-base account, acid-producing and acid-neutralizing characteristics;
• Short-term leaching tests to assess the presence of readily soluble components: synthetic precipitation leaching procedure (SPLP) and meteoric water mobility procedure (MWMP);
• Humidity cell tests (HCTs) to empirically assess the relationship, under laboratory conditions, between drainage quality and solid-phase composition; and
• Solution characterization methods for pH acidity, alkalinity, metals, anions, minerals, nutrients, cyanides. organic carbon, and total dissolved solids (TDs).

ASTM Standards for Acid Rock Drainage Prediction is available in CD-ROM for $85 USD (ISBN: 978-0-8031--8686-6; Stock #: ACIDCD11).
