ASTM International Offers Webinar on Cost of Operating Food Service Equipment

ASTM International Committee F26 on Food Service Equipment will hold a free webinar on operating costs of food service equipment on Sept. 17 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. EST.

Based on the ASTM standard F2687, Practice for Life Cycle Cost Analysis of Commercial Food Service Equipment, the webinar will focus on the two new free tools that have been developed by food industry experts to project the total operating cost of food service equipment. Participants will learn how to use these tools to organize, assemble and analyze information to answer critical business challenges and make realistic product comparisons beyond the initial cost.

The presenters of the workshop are David Zabrowski, director of engineering at the Food Service Technology Center, San Ramon, Calif., and chair of ASTM Subcommittee F26.06 on Productivity and Energy Protocol, and Jeff Cook, senior director of engineering and sustainability at Burger King Corp., Miami, Fla.
