ASTM International Launches Online Spanish-Language Magazine

ASTM International has launched an online, quarterly, Spanish-language version of its monthly magazine, Standardization News. The publication is available to everyone through the Magazines and Newsletters link at ASTM’s homepage, www.astm.org.

With translations of selected news and feature articles from the previous three months’ issues, Standardization News en espanol is a convenient source of information for Spanish-speaking professionals interested in ASTM’s international standards development process.

ASTM International has a longstanding relationship with Latin-American national standards bodies and technical personnel. Over 650 professionals from more than 20 Spanish-speaking countries participate on ASTM’s technical committees in the development of high-quality, market-relevant international standards. As part of its commitment to improve health, safety, and environmental and economic conditions in developing countries around the world, ASTM has signed memorandums of understanding with 13 Latin-American countries; these MOUs enable information exchange as well as training and membership opportunities. And since 2002, ASTM has maintained an office in Mexico City that serves as a hub for the dissemination of ASTM standards and related information.

Standardization News is ASTM International’s monthly, English-language flagship publication. Published by ASTM for over 30 years, SN covers news of ASTM International’s technical committee activities and also provides in-depth feature articles that focus monthly on one or more of the over 130 technical areas for which ASTM develops standards.
