ASTM International Honors David Rosen with Top Annual Award from Key Committee

ASTM International presented its top annual award – the Award of Merit – to David Rosen for his contributions to ASTM’s additive manufacturing committee (F42). 



The prestigious award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for distinguished service and outstanding participation in ASTM International committee activities. Rosen was recognized for his unrelenting leadership, outstanding contribution, and exceptional productivity in developing standards related to additive manufacturing. 

An ASTM International member since 2009, Rosen had been previously honored by the committee with the Award of Appreciation (2015) and the Distinguished Service Award (2018).


Rosen serves as a professor at Georgia Institute of Technology, a position he has held since 2004. Rosen also serves as the research director of the Digital Manufacturing and Design Center at the Singapore University of Technology and Design. Rosen has previously held positions at the University of Massachusetts, Ford Motor Company, and Computervision and Prime Computer.

In addition to ASTM International, Rosen is a fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
