ASTM International Honors Charles Corr with Top Annual Award from Key Committee

ASTM International presented its top annual award – the Award of Merit – to Charles Corr, owner and founder of CC Consulting, for his contributions to the petroleum products, liquid fuels, and lubricants committee (D02).

The prestigious award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for distinguished service and outstanding participation in ASTM International committee activities. Corr was honored for his leadership and technical contributions to the committee, leading to the development of standards related to gasoline, ethanol fuel, and terminology.   

An ASTM International member since 2001, Corr has previously been recognized with the G. Larry Eitel Distinguished Service Award (2018), Award of Excellence (2010, 2011, 2012), and Award of Appreciation (2008, 2012, 2019). He is also a member of the committees on paint and related coatings, materials, and applications (D01), air quality (D22), bioenergy and industrial chemicals from biomass (E48), and sustainability (E60).

Corr has served in his current position since 2019, having previously held positions at Clinton Corn Processing Company and Archer Daniels Midland Company before founding his consulting firm.

Corr holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Northern Iowa. In addition to ASTM International, he is a member of the National Conference of Weights and Measures.
