ASTM International Composite Materials Committee to Host Sandwich Construction Workshop

All interested parties are invited to attend a Sandwich Construction Workshop on Wednesday, March 12, at 4:30 p.m., in Melbourne, Fla. The workshop is being held by Subcommittee D30.09 on Sandwich Construction, part of ASTM International Committee D30 on Composite Materials. Committee D30 is meeting in conjunction with Marine Applications of Composite Materials from March 12-14 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Melbourne.

Many ASTM test methods related to sandwich composites have been extensively revised in recent years.  The workshop will be an opportunity to get an overview of the latest test techniques, as well as to participate in a dialog on the value and effectiveness of ASTM standards for the marine composite community.  There will also be a presentation on proposed new ASTM sandwich tests. In addition, Subcommittee D30.09 is interested in ideas for proposed new standards and feedback on current standards.
