ASTM International Committee on Temperature Measurement Honors Kelly Meares

Kelly Meares, director with Tateho Ozark Technical Ceramics in Webb City, Missouri, USA, was honored with the Robert D. Thompson Memorial Award by the ASTM International committee on temperature measurement (E20).

Meares, an ASTM International member since 2005, was recognized for his continuing contributions and dedication to the development of temperature measurement standards and his effective leadership of the subcommittee on thermocouple thermometry (E20.04). 

Meares has held his current position since 2015, having previously served as the co-founder of Ozark Technical Ceramics since 1986. Prior to this, he worked with technical ceramics for Eagle-Picher Industries. Meares holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Missouri Southern State University and a master’s degree in physics from Pittsburg State University.
