ASTM International Committee on Shipbuilding Contributes to Marine Environmental Engineering Technology Symposium

ASTM International Committee F25 on Shipbuilding is supporting the 2006 Marine Environmental Engineering Technology Symposium, Common Issues, Common Solutions Government/Industry Partnership. Other sponsors of the event, which will occur Jan. 23-25, at the Crystal City Hotel in Arlington, Va., are the American Society of Naval Engineers, the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers and the American Bureau of Shipping.

MEETS 2006 Common Issues, Common Solutions will focus on current and emerging environmental challenges impacting the ship operators from both the commercial and government sectors of the international maritime community. The symposium is an outstanding opportunity for members of both sectors to exchange information regarding technology and management gaps and to work toward solutions present and future environmental challenges. The goal of the symposium is to strengthen existing, and promote new, partnerships between commercial industries and government agencies.
