Steven Zeltmann, research assistant at the Composite Materials and Mechanics Laboratory in Brooklyn, N.Y., has received the Noah A. Kahn Award from ASTM International Committee E07 on Nondestructive Testing.

The committee honored Zeltmann for his outstanding record in the field of metallurgical engineering and his contribution to E07. He specializes in light weight, structural materials.

In addition to ASTM, Zeltmann is a member of the Minerals, Metals, and Materials Society, Tau Beta Pi engineering society, vice president of New York University’s chapter of Pi Tau Sigma, and president of New York University’s chapter of the Society for the Advancement of Materials and Process Engineering.
