ASTM International Committee on Light Sport Aircraft Names Adam Morrison as New Chairman

Adam Morrison, owner, Streamline Designs, LLC, Greenwood, Ind., has been named chairman of ASTM International Committee F37 on Light Sport Aircraft.

Formed in 2002, F37 has over 200 members representing 22 countries, and includes 10 technical subcommittees that oversee more than 30 standards related to the design, manufacture, performance, and maintenance of light sport aircraft including gliders and airplanes. Morrison has been a member of ASTM since 2002.

Morrison has been with Streamline Designs, LLC, since 2003, having previously served as mechanical designer and methods consultant at the Rolls-Royce Corporation. Morrison holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

Morrison previously received the Service Award for his work on Committee S02 on Technical Committee Operations, an Award of Appreciation, and the Daniel A. Schultz Award for his work on Committee F37. He is a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and is a certified ScrumMaster® for agile project management through the Scrum Alliance.
